Two men arrested in connection to Davenport shooting

A gunshot victim was located at the hospital, and their injuries are considered non-life threatening.

DAVENPORT, Iowa -- Two men have been arrested in connection with a Davenport shooting.

Davenport Police responded to the 1600 block of West 10th Street, not far from the Putnam Museum, around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, for shots fired.

Officers were told a person had been shot, and the victim was placed in a vehicle.

A short time later, officers located the gunshot victim at the hospital as they were being taken inside for treatment. A vehicle sped away from police.

Officers followed the vehicle to the 1800 block of West 40th Street, where they arrested two men.

Jatavius Davis, 19, was charged with possession of marijuana and Jaterius Davis, 19, was charged with felon in possession of a firearm.

The gunshot victim's injuries are non-life threatening.
