Quad Cities woman captures chaos and confusion at Las Vegas concert shooting

A Quad Citizen who recently moved to Las Vegas was at the music festival when a gunman opened fire on the crowd.

LAS VEGAS -- A  Quad Citizen who recently moved to Las Vegas was at the music festival when a gunman opened fire on the crowd.

The deadly shooting happened at the Route 91 Harvest Festival on Sunday, October 1st.

In the video you can hear the confusion among the crowd.  People were trying to figure out if they were hearing gunshots or fireworks.

“They were flying out of the air like rain," said Najela Muhammad.

Muhammad moved from the Quad Cities to Las Vegas a couple weeks ago. Her parents own Nally's Kitchen in Davenport.

Muhammad was at the concert when the gun shots starting going off, She captured it on her phone.

“People were getting trampled. I got knocked down and my best friend and roommate helped me back up thankfully," said Muhammad.

Muhammad and her friend were able to run away and jump into a security guard's car.

"I'm very thankful. I’m very grateful but at the same time really, really sad for people who lost their husbands, their wives, best friends, you know, sisters," said Muhammad.
