ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL -- The Government Bridge will be closed to traffic throughout the morning and early afternoon Friday, September 29th.
An inspection has been scheduled from 8:15 a.m. until 2 p.m. Cars cannot go through, but the bridge will still be open to pedestrian traffic and rail traffic.
Signs and barriers will be up to prevent traffic from trying to cross.
