Protester confronts U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley at airport

Several lawmakers were confronted by protesters as they waited for flights home from the Reagan National Airport.

ARLINGTON, Virginia -- Several lawmakers were confronted by protesters as they waited for flights home from the Reagan National Airport.

U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley was one of the lawmakers stopped on Thursday, June 22nd.  The confrontation was caught on camera.

In the video, you see Grassley start to walk away, when a man with the Center for American Progress, Topher Spiro, speaks to him.

Grassley, who has been in Congress since 1975, did end up walking away, as Spiro continued asking about the progress.

Spiro is the Vice President for the Center for American Progress. which was founded by Hillary Clinton's former campaign chairman, John Podesta.

On its website, the CAP is described as "an independent nonpartisan policy institute that is dedicated to improving the lives... through bold, progressive ideas, as well as strong leadership and concerted action."
