DURANT, Iowa -- No one was hurt when a train struck a semi-truck at a rail crossing on Iowa Highway 927 and Vail Avenue just outside of Durant on Tuesday, Feb. 7.
Police said the accident happened a little before noon. The truck driver was issued a citation for failure to yield. The trailer of the truck was hit, but not the cab, leaving debris strewn over the rails and roadway.
