DAVENPORT — Two people were injured when the car they were in went under a semi trailer on Interstate 80 near Northwest Boulevard.
A Ford Focus started to veer off the road when the driver over-corrected and ended up under the semi trailer, according to a spokesperson with the Iowa State Police. Both vehicles were heading westbound when the crash happened around 11:15 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2017.
Traffic was heavily backed up after the collision. Around noon the spokesperson said the interstate was down to one lane.
Eastbound traffic was unaffected.
Traffic maps show the backup affecting traffic west of Wisconsin Avenue and down to Division Street.
