CHICAGO -- Emergency crews are responding to an incident at the Cook County jail.
The Chicago Fire Dept confirm five people were injured and taken to local hospitals in critical condition.
The nature of the injuries was not given by authorities, but several media Twitter accounts have reported that the injuries were stab wounds.
Additionally, officials did not say if staff were among those injured.
