Megabus reportedly stopping service in Davenport
DAVENPORT, Iowa — Just less than two years after Megabus came to the Quad Cities, reports indicate that it’s going away.
Megabus, known for their green-certified double-decker buses with free Wi-Fi, started offering non-stop trips from Davenport to Chicago, Iowa City, Des Moines and Omaha in January of 2015.
According to a report by WHO-TV, Megabus planned to cut all of its services in Iowa starting January 9, 2017.
In addition to Davenport, Megabus.com shows that service in Iowa is offered in Des Moines and Iowa City. The calendar to select trips from these cities stops at January 9th.
WQAD News 8 has been unable to get official word from the company regarding this service cancellation.
