Davenport police host annual toy drive for at-risk kids

You can still donate from 10 a.m. -5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, at Northpark Mall next to Firestone Tire.

DAVENPORT, Iowa — Davenport police continued their tradition of helping as many QC families as possible this holiday season. They held their annual Christmas toy drive to collect new toys for the holidays on Saturday, Dec. 10. The toys will serve as gifts for kids to are part of the Family Resources program.

"Lots of the kids are the at-risk kids, they're the victims living in safe houses, others are in foster care. These are kids that are victims of sexual assault. Family Resources are their advocates," said Kris Mayer of the Davenport Police Department.

Davenport police have been doing this drive since 2002. You can still donate from 10 a.m. -5 p.m.  Sunday, Dec. 11, at Northpark Mall next to Firestone Tire.
