DAVENPORT , Iowa - A garage has been destroyed after an early morning fire on Monday, December 5, 2016.
The fire happened just after 1 .m. Monday in the 2500 block of Gaines Street. A neighbor called 911 and reported the detached garage behind the resident's home caught on fire.
By the time crews arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames and ammunition inside the garage was going off. Two cars, one inside the garage and another one outside of it, were also destroyed.
No one was hurt.
