DAVENPORT, Iowa — A state appeals court has upheld the convictions in a shocking case of crimes against kids in Scott County.
Of the 10 people arrested in connection to sexual abuse against children at the Patriot Mobile Home Park in Davenport, nine were sentenced to prison and one was deemed not competent to stand trial.
- Melvin Thomas Lucier was convicted of a total of 7 counts second-degree sexual abuse. He was given seven life sentence prison terms, and another 50 years for one count of third-degree sexual abuse. Five of those charges are on appeal.
- James Faler was convicted on five counts of sexual exploitation of a child (federal case) and was given a life sentence plus 50 years, without the possibility of parole.
- Thomas Jenkins was convicted on two counts of second-degree sexual abuse and will serve two 25-year sentences consecutively.
- David Conger was convicted on two counts failure to comply with sex offender registry and one count second-degree theft. He was will serve three five-year sentences consecutively.
- Sherry Oats was convicted on five counts child endangerment and will serve 13 years in prison.
- Sarah McConnell was convicted on two counts child endangerment and will serve two five-year prison sentences.
- Jenni Jenkins was convicted on three counts of child endangerment and will serve three two-year prison sentences.
- Jessica Epping was convicted on one count of child endangerment and will serve two years in prison.
- Andrea Rodden was convicted on one count of child endangerment and will serve two years.
Shaneka Posey's case was dismissed as she was found not competent to stand trial.
