I am hoping Jonathan and Eric like to play with their food as much as my nephew does. Find out why in the clip below:
So, my 4-year-old nephew ("I'm almost 5, Aunt Angie!" as he's been telling me) is coming to the Quad Cities for Thanksgiving this year and I do not have one toy for him to play with. Unless you count dog toys... and I don't.
Instead, I found an easy tasty treat we could make together that I know he'll love - and devour. Plus, it's made with his dad's/my brother's favorite chocolate snack - which is always a bonus!
As part of our Nailed It Or Failed It Segment on WQAD News 8 at 11am, I had my Co-Anchor Jonathan Ketz and Storm Track 8 Meteorologist Eric Sorensen make these Reese's Turkeys:
They come from Mom on Timeout. According to the website, all you need are Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Reese's Mini Peanut Butter Cups, Reese's Pieces, Candy Eyes, and Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips.
I tried out a couple the night before our segment and they only took 5 minutes - maybe - to put together! It was very easy and I loved the results instantly (unlike last week's craft, which took a little more patience).
