Several juveniles were injured when they were thrown from the pickup they were riding in during a rollover crash.

PRINCETON, Iowa -- Several juveniles were injured when they were thrown from the pickup they were riding in during a rollover crash.

There were six juveniles in the pickup, heading south on 260th Avenue - a dirt road - around 9:05 p.m. on Monday, November 14, 2016, according to a statement from the Scott County Sheriff's Office.  They were near the 25500 block (east of Lost Creek and south of 257th Street) when the pickup lost control and rolled, landing on its top.

Two of the passengers had been riding in the bed of the pickup, the statement said, and "several of the juveniles were ejected..."

One person was airlifted from the scene and three were taken to a nearby hospital via ambulance, authorities said.

Police later confirmed that the driver was a 16-year-old from Bettendorf, and the passengers of the vehicle were a mix of five 15 and 16 year olds from Davenport and Bettendorf.

Editor's note: A previous version of this report incorrectly stated that the crash happened at 9:05 a.m.  It has been edited to list the correct time of 9:05 p.m.
