BETTENDORF, Iowa - In October the City of Bettendorf approved a proposal to build an ice rink, now it's on the way.

"It's coming along very well, I've got a chiller that's coming into town this weekend, we got power that will be supplied this weekend," said Bill Connors, Community Development Director.

The ice rink used to sit in downtown Moline and Bettendorf bought the rink and all it's equipment for $75,000.

The funding came from the councils' winter events budget.

The ice rink is right next to Splash Landing in Middle Park and the plan is to open the day after Thanksgiving.
