The breakfast is a part of the store's Home Front initiatives, which is made up of multiple efforts to bring awareness to the men in women in uniform. These other programs include Honor Flights, veterans and military member employee recruitment, and the Hy-Vee Round up for Homefront program.

For Army Veteran Don Hillman, events like these really show how much this country appreciates veterans.

"Starting as a young kid going into the military, you're giving a lot of stuff away, you're leaving your home your family... this here really makes you feel appreciated," says Hillman.

The Hy-Vee in Silvis will start accepting donations for their Round Up for Homefront program.  Customers will have the option to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar, the extra money will be matched by Hy-Vee and will go towards supporting veterans and their families.

Hy-Vee will match customer donations up to $100,000.
