Body pulled from Rock River identified as missing Dixon, Illinois man

The body found in the Rock River has been identified as missing man Zachary O’Bryant, according to a report by Sauk Valley.

DIXON, Illinois — The body found in the Rock River has been identified as missing man Zachary O’Bryant, according to a report by Sauk Valley.

O’Bryant was reported missing on October 20, 2016. He was last seen leaving PatiO’s Irish Pub on West First Street, according to previous reports.

Days after a search party was organized and a candle light vigil was held, his body was found in the Rock River – on Saturday, October 29.

The body was identified as O’Bryant on Monday, and an autopsy revealed that the preliminary cause of death was drowning, according to Sauk Valley’s report.  There were no signs of trauma or foul play.

A memorial service was planned for 6 p.m. Tuesday at PatiO’s Irish Pub; the service will be for those ages 21 and older.
