A driver had to be extricated from her car after crashing head on with a semi.
It was about 1:50 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2016, according to a statement from the Illinois State Police, when a northbound Ford Edge crossed into oncoming traffic on U.S. 67. The car collided with a semi heading southbound, just a half-mile north of 950 N in McDonough County.
There was no word on the condition of the 54-year-old Edge driver. She was cited for improper lane usage. The 55-year-old semi driver from Mississippi was cited for driving while disqualified.
