MOLINE, Illinois — Workers are shutting down a portion of southbound 41st Street as part of the construction project on John Deere Road.

The shutdown will start sometime between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, just north of Pine Ridge Court.  The closure will extend down to 38th Avenue (Coaltown Road).  South of 38th Avenue will not be affected.

It was expected that the shutdown would last until November 9.

While the road is closed off to traffic, workers will be constructing pavement at the north end of the street.

“As soon as the work in this area has been completed and the roadway is safe for traffic again, southbound 41st Street will resume to the current configuration,” read a statement from project manager Ryan Birney.

Northbound traffic will remain unaffected.

Any businesses in the area will have their driveways accessible at all times, according to Birney’s statement.
