Theisen’s breathes new life into old Davenport K-Mart building

Theisen’s Home Farm & Auto opened its doors in the Quad Cities with a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, Oct. 19.

DAVENPORT, Iowa — What used to be a K-Mart on Brady Street now has new life. Theisen's Home Farm & Auto opened its doors in the Quad Cities with a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, Oct. 19.

The Dubuque, Iowa based company took over the K-Mark earlier this year. That area of Brady Street has seen lots of turnover with K-Mart and Hancock Fabrics closing, and Aaron's relocating.

The Davenport location is the company's 23rd store and employs about 100 people. The company has more than 1,000 employees total in 21 eastern Iowa stores, and two stores in Wisconsin.
