PLEASANT VALLEY, Iowa--  Hundreds of girls from across the country competed in the first All Girls Wrestling Tournament hosted by Pleasant Valley High School.

The event is sponsored by a group called the Female Elite Wrestling to give girls an opportunity to compete with one another, many of them play on all boys teams.

"There are little girls all over that have never gotten a chance to wrestle a girl, so we pilled together this tournament... to get a chance to match up with other girls," says Female Elite Wrestling's Charlotte Bailey.

The next All Girls Wrestling Tournament will be in March after the high school wrestling season is over.
