ROCK ISLAND, Illinois — There's another sign of growth in one Rock Island neighborhood. The Economic Growth Corporation celebrated the expansion with a ribbon cutting on Friday, Oct. 14. The seven new homes were built in the Garden District, between Jackson Square and the Quad City Botanical Center.
Developers call it a unique opportunity to own a new home in downtown Rock Island.
"This is one of our pilot programs that will provide a single family home in an urban environment," said Brian Hollenback of Renaissance Rock Island.
The project completes nearly $20 million worth of business growth and expansion in the area known as the Arsenal Gateway Neighborhood.
