WASHINGTON, D.C. — Newly leaked emails show Hillary Clinton's campaign managers tried to move the Illinois primary and asked the White House to make it happen. The 2-year-old emails suggest the Obama Administration should use its connections to push back the date by at least one month.
The Clinton campaign felt a delay would stop a moderate, Republican candidate from gaining momentum after the Super Tuesday Primaries.
The primary was held as scheduled on March 15th, which Clinton won.
