Chicago Cubs Lose Overnight Thriller

SAN FRANCISCO, California – After 13 innings, the Chicago Cubs lost to the San Francisco Giants in Game 3 of the National League Division Series on Tuesday morning, October 11, 2016.

Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta hit a three run home run in the top of the second, which made it 3-0 Cubs.

The Gaints took the lead later in the game after Connor Gillaspie took a pitch deep to right center, just out of of the reach Albert Amora Jr.

In the top of the ninth with the Giants leading 5-3, Kris Bryant took a pitch deep to left field for a two run home run, tying the game at 5. It would stay that way until the bottom of the 13th.

Joe Banik hit a deep drive to right off the wall, scoring a run, and the Giants won 6 to 5. They still trail in the best of five series, 2 games to 1.

Game 4 is Tuesday at 7:40 p.m. CT.
