DAVENPORT, Iowa — Saturday morning's walk on Oct. 8 Walk for Wishes started at Modern Woodmen Park in Davenport and raised money for Make A Wish Iowa. The organization grants wishes to kids battling a life threatening medical condition.
Each year, many past wish recipients come back to take part.
"It makes me proud every single year that I'm here to watch her cross that finish line, you know, that Make a Wish had something to do with her success," said mother Deanna Woodall.
Woodall says the most popular wish granted is a trip to Disney World.
This is the walk's seventh year.
