Rock Island, ILLINOIS - The Rock Island High School students were up early Friday, October 7, 2016 for our Score Pre-Game Pep Rally. They were also donating to a good cause during it.

The Rocks collected cans for the Student Hunger Drive, which kicked off Monday, October 3, 2016.  The school asked each student who participated in the pep rally, to bring a can as well. The food goes to the River Bend Foodbank, which helps out needy families in the Quad City area.

We moved the pep rally inside the gymnasium Friday due to the rain from the early morning hours. The kids still had a great time though, showing up around 5:30 a.m. Moe's Burgers and Brews in downtown Rock Island, also gave footballs out to students. Those that received one, can bring in the ball and get a two for one meal at the restaurant.

The Rocks take on United Township High School at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Public Schools Stadium.
