WHITESIDE COUNTY, Illinois — Extra precautions are being taken in the Prophetstown, Lyndon, Tampico district after online threats were made toward the schools.
On their Facebook page, Prophetstown High School said there would be “extra security at the school” Thursday with “local and county police officers present and patrolling the area.”
The post also noted that anyone who might be wearing a clown mask or have one in their possession “will be detained and questioned.”
Other schools in the district posted similar messages.
