Fort Madison police chief resigns after two days on the job

Kenneth Rosa resigned Tuesday, Oct. 4, saying he had to deal with a family situation. His wife and two children still lived in Connecticut.

FORT MADISON, Iowa — Two days after he started his new job, the Fort Madison, Iowa police department chief is headed back to Connecticut.

Kenneth Rosa resigned Tuesday, Oct. 4, saying he had to deal with a family situation. His wife and two children still lived in Connecticut.

The Fort Madison city council appointed a replacement from within the department. The appointment could be made permanent Oct. 18, 2016.
