Bond set at $1 million for man charged with murder of Davenport couple

The man charged with murder in the death of a Davenport couple is being held on $1 million bond.

DAVENPORT, Iowa -- The man charged with murder in the death of a Davenport couple is being held on $1 million bond.

The two people, 58-year-old Kevin Freese and 57-year-old Donna Freese were found dead overnight Wednesday, October 5, 2016 after a shooting was reported in the 1100 block of West 59th Street, according to a statement from the Davenport Police Department.

According to the statement, 20-year-old Sean Freese was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

Two affidavits were filed with the State of Iowa on October 5th. One states that Sean Freese "did with premeditation kill Donna Freese by shooting her with a firearm inside the residence..." and the other states that Sean Freese "did with premeditation kill Kevin Freese by shooting him with a firearm inside the residence..."

Jail records show that Sean Freese was taken into custody just after 4 p.m. October 5th. He was held on $1 million cash only bond.
