Halloween 2016: Where to get your “spook” on in the QC area

Alpha – Flashlight Maze and Zombie Paintball at Country Corner Farm Market includes paintball activity, corn maze, and bonfires.
Friday and Saturday nights through October from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.

CambridgeTerror in the Timber is a haunted trail that winds through 5 acres of woods and is recommended for those 13 years and older. Admission is $10 for all ages.
Open from 7-11 p.m. October 7, 8, 14, 15, 21,and 22.

Galesburg  Shadows Realm Haunted House – The former Gilson Haunted School. It features claustrophobia, animatronics, a 3D labyrinth and more.  They offer a “lights on” showing on Sunday November 1st from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. for $2. Games, candy, and no scares.  Regular admission is $10.
Open 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.  September 30th and October 1st.  Open 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. October 7th and 8th.  Open 7 p.m. to midnight October 14, 15, 21, 22, 28,29.  

Galesburg – Nightmare at the Movies is a haunted house in the Sandburg Mall Cinemas.  They offer indoor waiting with concessions and are wheelchair accessible.
Fridays and Saturdays from 7 p.m. – midnight.  Admission costs $10. 

MolineFactory of Fear is a haunted house, voted  QC’s Top Haunt in 2011, 2012, and 2013 by the users of Hauntedqc.com. It made the top three in 2014 and 2015.  They recommend being 12 or older to visit the attraction.  General admission is $15 for all ages.  VIP fast passes are available for $20. 
Open Fridays and Saturdays in October (including Friday, September 30th) from 7 p.m. until midnight; Sundays from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. Also open October 31st from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Mount Carroll – Raven’s Grin Inn is a haunted house that lasts between an hour and 90 minutes. Admission is $15, children 9 and under cost $13.
Open Monday through Friday from 7 p.m. – midnight, Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. – midnight. 

Orion – Torment at Twelve Hundred is a theatrical haunted attraction that is an Illinois Top 10 Haunt, according to USA Today. It won the 34th, 35th, 36th and 37th annual Telly Awards.  The haunt is not recommended for children under 13.  Admission is $15.
Open from 7 p.m. – midnight Fridays and Saturdays in October (starting September 30th). Open Sundays and Halloween from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Orion – Haunted Woods and attractions are at Hillcrest Event Center.  Tickets are $10 in advance and are sold at Casey’s General Stores; admission is $20 at the door.  On top of the Haunted Woods attraction, there’s the Spook Lounge – which serves adult beverages, a hay rack ride, photo booth and bonfire.

Port Byron –  QC Haunted Forest offers hayrack rides or a walk through the haunted forest.   Located at Adventure Quest of the Quad Cities. Admission is $15.
Open Fridays and Saturdays from October 9th until October 30th.

Rock Falls – Haunted Haven is a haunt spanning from woods to a building covering 8,000 sq. ft. total.  Children under age 13 are not recommended to enter without a parent due to “mature content and high intensity scares.”  Admission is $12.
Open Fridays and Saturdays from Sept. 23rd – Oct. 29th, 7 p.m.-11 p.m.  and open Sunday, Oct. 30th and Monday, October 31st from 7 p.m.-10 p.m.

Rock IslandSkellington Manor is a four-story haunted house covering more than 28,000 sq. ft.  The former Masonic Temple is filled with more than 60 actors, special effects, and documented paranormal activity. General admission is $15 for all ages.  VIP fast passes are available for $20.
Open Fridays and Saturdays in October (including Friday, September 30th) from 7 p.m. until midnight; Sunday from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Rock Island – Shock House at the QCCA Expo Center offers has expanded from 2015 with more rooms, characters and a 3D area that has been made into a second haunt.  Admission is $15 or $20 for the VIP fast pass.  Zombie paintball is $5.  Free admission for military with valid military ID.
Open Fridays and Saturdays from September 30th through October 8th and Thursdays through Saturdays from October 13th through October 29th.  Open 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. on Thursdays; 7 p.m. – midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

Rock Island – St. Anthony’s Annual Haunted Tunnels, you can travel through more than 500 feet of underground haunted tunnels. Admission is $5 per person. Food is available on site for purchase. Located at St. Anthony’s Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at 767 30th Street. Call 309-912-2056 for information.
Open Thursday, October 27th and Friday, October 28th from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Charlotte Charlotte Haunted House is located in the Charlotte Area Activity Center at 115 1st Street off Highway 136.  A kids matinee will be offered Saturday October 29th from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Open October 21st & 22nd and October 28th & 29th from 7 p.m. – midnight. 

Davenport – House of 1000 Screams haunted house, was founded in 2013. It’s located at 825 West 4th Street, above Furniture 123.  Admission is $15.
Open every Friday and Saturday in October from 7 p.m. to midnight, starting October 7th.

LeClaireWitches’ Walk and Costume Parade offers a contest or just a walk in the parade. Kids activities available before the parade and candy and “Trunk or Treat” during the parade.
Saturday, October 29th, registration at 11:30 a.m., parade at 1 p.m.
