Man robbed at gunpoint near Burlington, Iowa

BURLINGTON, Iowa — Three men stripped a victim of his personal belongings before taking off in a car just south of Burlington, Iowa. Deputies talked to the victim around 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, in the 5900 block of Madison Avenue.

The victim says he was robbed at gunpoint by three black men, who demanded that he give up his keys, money, wallet, and two bags of items. The men are thought to have gotten away in a red passenger car.

Anyone who was in the Madison Avenue area and saw anything suspicious, or who knows about this incident, is asked to contact the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office at 319-753-8212.
