Four charged in Burlington narcotics investigation

BURLINGTON, Iowa — Four people were arrested after nearly 100 officers searched multiple homes in a narcotics investigation.

In the search Wednesday, September 28, 2016, investigators found more than $10,000 in cash, vehicles, firearms, marijuana, heroin and meth, according to a statement from Lt. Jeff Klein.  The search was between four homes in Burlington, one in the 300 block of Harrison Street, one in the 1200 block of Valley, one in the 400 block of South 4th Street, and one in the 200 block of South Gunnison Street.

Lt. Klein said that the four people who were arrested, 48-year-old Lee Kristy Keever, 44-year-old Willie Ervin Cobb,45-year-old Robert Perkins, and 43-year-old Sheldon William Krogmeier, were charged with conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance.  They were held without bond in the Des Moines County Jail.

They were expected to be taken to Federal Court in Davenport for their first appearance.

“This investigation remains fluid and additional charges are anticipated during future narcotics operations,” read the statement.

There were 15 agencies involved in the investigation.
