Clinton man’s death deemed accidental, months after body is found in Mississippi River

CLINTON, Iowa -- The death of a man whose body was found in the Mississippi River has been deemed accidental.

Joshua Snyder, age 36, was reported missing in January of 2016. Two months later, on March 17, Snyder's body was found in the river near Dewey Island in Scott County.

On Monday, September 26, the Clinton Police Department said that Snyder's death was accidental, based on results of the autopsy and police investigation.
