CONESVILLE, Iowa — Flooding has caused county road G-28 at the Cedar River to close.
The Muscatine County Highway Department closed G-28 (231st Street) from the intersection of Echo Avenue to Camp Avenue. The closure started at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2016.
It will remain closed until further notice and drivers have been asked to use State Highway 70, State Highway 22 and Independence Avenue instead.
Drivers can still access private homes in the area of G-28.
River water is creeping up to Highway 70, but it will remain open for the time being.
