A new national report shows Iowa and Illinois have some of the worst roads in the country.
Illinois ranks 29th out of 50, according to the Reason Foundation's 22nd Annual Highway Report.
The state is at the top of the list when it comes to the condition of its urban interstates, but at the bottom for traffic congestion.
Iowa is in even worse shape, dropping to 40th this year from 18th last year, according to the report. It's actually at the top of the list when it comes to traffic congestion, but things like the conditions of the state's bridges and interstates brought it down to the bottom.
