MOLINE, Illinois — The Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center needs your blood. More specifically, O negative.

Hospitals in our area have used that blood type more than usual over the past two weeks, so the supply is getting a little low. O negative blood can be used in emergency situations because it can be transfused to patients of every blood type.

If you have it, you're being asked by the center to donate as soon as possible.
