DAVENPORT, Iowa -- Two people in the crosswalk on Harrison Street were hit by a vehicle and injured.
It happened Sunday, September 18, 2016 around 6:50 p.m., according to a statement from the Davenport Police Department. The two people were walking westbound across Harrison Street near Central Park Avenue when they were hit.
Police said the vehicle that hit them had been heading west on Central Park and was turning south onto Harrison Street when the collision happened.
Both of pedestrians were taken to an area hospital, according to the statement. One was treated and released, the other was kept for treatment of a serious injury, but was listed in stable condition.
The names of those involved are not being released at this time, police said. The Davenport Police Department Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the incident.
