Thurgood Marshall Learning Center hosts first Peace Rally for Campaign Nonviolence Week

ROCK ISLAND, Illinois-- As part of Campaign Nonviolence Week, Thurgood Marshall Learning Center hosted its first Peace Rally Monday, September 19.

The event featured a dance performance from local Quad City group Re-FL3X  and special guest speaker Christopher Whitt from Augustana College.

"The way we’re dancing, it catches their attention and for that I feel like we are very blessed to be able to have this gift and to be able to share our message through it," says Re-FL3X dancer, Juan Valtierra.

Re-FL3X will perform at the Davenport Jr. Theater, September 24, 4 pm-6 pm.
