Moline Barber Shop Buzzing for the Cubs

One local barber shop is getting attention for more than just cutting hair.

MOLINE, Illinois - One local barber shop is getting attention for more than just cutting hair.  At the New Style Barber Shop in Moline they don't settle for average cuts.

For ‘Fresh Fade Friday’s’ one die hard sports fan is getting a unique, fresh line up for his favorite baseball team.

“The Cubs!” says Isaiss Duarte.

Isaiss wanted to get a special line up for his team after they clinched their division Thursday, September 15, 2016.

His cut is done with precision shading and buzzing so Isaiss can sport around the Cubs logo, winning ‘W’ and Cubs Infielder, Javier Baez face, all on his head.

“The face is going to take a couple hours,” says the mastermind behind it all, Miguel Rosas.

"When I first started cutting hair I knew I wanted to get into doing designs. I’ve been an artist my whole life. I used to draw cartoon characters and now I get to incorporate my art into hair cutting so it's a win-win,” added Miguel.

Miguel's talent went viral after his Jake Arietta haircut buzzed around the windy city when the cubs were playing for the National League Championship last year.

His haircuts also score home runs for local fans in the Quad Cities. Miguel says he's getting requests to shave celebrity faces into people's hair.
