Moline-Coal Valley School District extends Superintendent McGuire’s contract

The Superintendent for the Moline-Coal Valley School District will be sticking around for a few more years.

MOLINE, Illinois — The Superintendent for the Moline-Coal Valley School District will be sticking around for a few more years.

On Monday, September 12, 2016, the school board extended Superintendent Lanty McGuire’s contract to last through the 2018-2019 school year.

“We are very pleased with Lanty McGuire’s performance as Superintendent thus far,” said Board President Justin Anderson. “This has led us to believe that we have the right person in place to lead the District for two additional years.”

The board is expected to meet again to talk about how a permanent superintendent will be chosen for years following McGuire’s term.
