SILVIS, Illinois — The family of Adrianne Reynolds is still honoring her memory 11 years after her death. The 16-year-old was murdered by two of her classmates back in 2005.
Family and friends held their annual Memorial Car Wash at the Hy-Vee in Silvis on Saturday, Sept. 10. Donations from the car wash will benefit local students in the Quad Cities who earn their G.E.D.
Adrianne's father, Tony, says it's a cause that would have made his daughter proud.
"When it rained a little bit this morning I said, 'I appreciate it but that's enough,' because this is our 11th one and I think we've never been rained out... and I know she's watching," said Reynolds.
The money raised will go to the Black Hawk Outreach Center and Arrowhead Youth and Family Services.
