Food bank distributes 10,000 meals for National Hunger Action Day

DAVENPORT, Iowa — The River Bend Foodbank is celebrating National Hunger Action Day by passing out thousands of meals to people in the Quad Cities.

Workers loaded a truck to pass out around 10,000 meals to people in the Quad City community, that's a 3,000 jump from last year.

National Hunger Action Day was started by the group Feeding America, as a way to draw attention to the problem of hunger in the United States.
