CLINTON, Iowa — A Casey’s General Store in Clinton was robbed at gunpoint, says Clinton police.
Officers were called around 6 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, to the store in the 1300 block of Camanche Avenue. Several employees and customers told police that an unknown man entered the store, showed them a handgun and demanded money. The suspect was able to flee with an undisclosed amount of cash, say police.
The suspect was described as wearing all black clothing with a black cloth wrapped around his face to conceal his identity.
The robbery is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Clinton Police Department at 563-243-1458.
