UPDATE: The driver has been identified as Shalan Bush of Walcott, Iowa. She is being treated at a hospital in Iowa City for non-life threatening injuries.
SCOTT COUNTY, Iowa — One person has been airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics by MedForce after being thrown a truck Thursday, Sept. 1. Police say they were called to a rollover crash in the 7800 block of New Liberty Road around 2:30 p.m., just south of Maysville.
Initial investigations reveal a 1998 Ford truck driven by the victim was travelling eastbound on New Liberty Road, where there is a slight bend in the roadway. The truck left the road and the driver over corrected, rolling the truck several times. The victim was at some point thrown from the truck, says the Scott County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver was flown to Iowa City in serious condition.
The victim’s name is behind withheld to allow authorities to notify family.
