CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — A former school bus attendant for the Cedar Rapids school district pleaded guilty in federal court Thursday, Sept. 1, to enticing minors and requesting sexually explicit images from them.
Tyler Konigsmark, 20, worked as a school bus attendant from March to May 2016. He admitted to using Snapchat and his iPhone to request images from three girls aged 12, 13 and 14 who rode on buses where he was an attendant.
Konigsmark also admitted to having sex with the 12-year-old girl after arranging meetings with her through Snapchat.
Konigsmark pleaded guilty in a plea agreement, though he still faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. He will also be required to serve 5 years to life of supervised release upon leaving prison.
