Boots on the Ground asking for community support after rash of shootings

Boots on the Ground is challenging the community to use part of their holiday trying to come up with solutions to gun violence in the area.

''It's gonna take sacrifice. My family is going to be with me at this meeting," said Elder Daniel Teague.

Boots on the Ground is a year-old coalition of Quad City ministers who are trying to rally the community to find ways to curb the violence.

"We don't have all the answers, but we're sure looking. The community needs to step up and get involved. We, as ministers, can't do it all," Teague said.

The next meeting will be held on Monday, Sept. 5th at 6pm at United Neighbors in Davenport.
