DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) — A Scott County jury has found a Davenport man guilty of sexually assaulting a woman in December.
Caleb Dormire, age 20, faces up to 25 years in prison when he’s sentenced on Oct. 11, according to a report by the Quad-City Times.
He was found guilty of second-degree sexual abuse.
Police say Dormire was wearing a mask and gloves when he entered a home that a woman was house-sitting on Dec. 16. Police say he threatened to stab her and forced her to perform sex acts.
Prosecutors used lab results from evidence, including a knife and clothing taken from Dormire consistent with the woman’s description, to convict him.
