CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine says the technology classes at Kirkwood College in Cedar Rapids is exactly the kind of program to improve the country's economy.
The Virginia state senator continues to emphasize renewable energy and it's direct impact on job creation. The Kirkwood College program teaches students to build and repair wind turbines.
This is Kaine's first visit to Iowa s the vice presidential candidate, but not likely to be the last. He says Iowa is incredibly important to this presidential election.
"We are going to create an economy where we can have a growth that's good, but where growth is more broadly shared," said Kaine.
According to financial analyst Moody's, Hillary Clinton's economic plan would add 10 million jobs.
