DAVENPORT, Iowa — Arianna Boyce, is 14-years-old and spending her last few days of summer organizing clothes to be donated to the Peace in the Park School Supply Drive on Saturday, August 20 at Fejervary Park in Davenport.

This is the first clothing drive to be included in the Peace in the Park event.

So far, Boyce has filled three totes of gently used clothes collected from the community within a week.

"I thought it would have taken longer because people want to help, and  I understand that, but not everybody has the time to bring things over... People would bring things over in the morning, bring things over when they get home from work and it was really cool," she says.

All items collected will be passed out noon-5 p.m. during Saturday's event at Fejervary Park, 1800 W. 12th Street. The event will also offer games, activities, music and prizes.

School supplies are being accepted at the following locations:

  • 7 a.m.-7 p.m. at the Davenport Police Department, 416 N. Harrison Street
  • During regular business hours at all Davenport libraries. CLICK HERE for locations
  • 7 a.m.-7 p.m. at River's Edge, 700 W. River Drive
