PLEASANT HILL, Iowa (AP) — A man’s body has been recovered from the Des Moines River at Pleasant Hill.
A driver on U.S. Highway 65 reported seeing what he thought was a body on the northwest bank of the river around 2:50 p.m. Monday. Police and firefighters went to a nearby boat ramp and found the body.
Pleasant Hill police say the body appeared to have been in the river for several days. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the man’s identity and cause of death.
