MOLINE -- Police have arrested Kelvin A. Gathings, 26, accused of shooting a man while he sat in a car Wednesday night, Aug. 11, near Railroad Avenue.
The victim, a 20-year-old man, was shot near the 400 block of Railroad Avenue around 10 p.m. and attempted to drive himself to the emergency. However, he only made it as far as the 300 block of 16th Avenue when he had to call 911. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was treated for at least one gunshot wound. He is currently in stable condition.
On Friday, police issued the warrant for Gathings on charges of aggravated battery and two counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm.
